CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES

  • Invested in services initiatives to deliver an easy-to-buy, easy-to-own customer experience – doubling the number of active customers online, nearly doubling successful prioritized service events and continuing growth of customer value agreements (CVAs).
  • Showcased services, sustainability and technology solutions to nearly 50,000 dealers, customers and guests at Operator Stadium during CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2023, including the 301.9 Electric Mini Excavator demonstration.
  • Expanded Cat Command remote control technology to 60 product models, enabling machines to be controlled without anyone in the cab, enhancing safety and efficiency for our customers.
  • Celebrated 10 years and 100,000 machines produced at our Athens, Georgia, facility.

RESOURCE INDUSTRIES

  • Celebrated 10 years of autonomous operations with over 630 large mining trucks running worldwide. Caterpillar has been investing in autonomous technology for more than 30 years.
  • Expanded customer electrification engagement with CRH – North America’s largest building materials company – to advance the deployment of 70 to 100-ton-class battery electric off-highway trucks and charging solutions.
  • Demonstrated Caterpillar’s first battery electric prototype underground mining truck with semi-autonomous capability.
  • Collaborated with Thiess, a global mining services provider, at one of their sites in Queensland, Australia, to demonstrate remote operations of multiple Cat D11 Dozers using Cat MineStarTM Command for dozing.

 

ENERGY & TRANSPORTATION

  • Supported the first data center in Belgium to use biofuels for standby power operation by commissioning a new 13.5 megavolt-amperes (MVA) standby power solution that operates exclusively on 100% HVO fuel.
  • Produced the 10,000th C175 engine, which is used in power generation and other large-scale applications around the globe. The engine’s popularity reinforces its unmatched performance, efficiency, durability and long-term customer value.
  • Launched the CG18 gas generator set to provide a space-efficient design with improved power density, fuel efficiency and emissions performance.
  • Introduced the Titan™ 350 – a world-class, highly efficient gas turbine in the 35-39 megawatt size range. This product has robust design features and is well-suited for applications in both oil and gas and power generation.
