Our Culture

At Caterpillar, we work collaboratively to deliver on our purpose — building a better, more sustainable world. Our longstanding Values in Action: integrity, commitment, excellence, teamwork and sustainability shape who we are and how we work every day. We hold ourselves to uncompromisingly high ethical standards — Winning the Right Way in all we do.

Leadership excellence is core to our success. We provide ongoing development for our leaders to demonstrate sound business judgement, courage, curiosity, emotional intelligence and an enterprise mindset, which are core to our success. Leaders are expected to serve as role models and support the development of their teams.

We believe in the Power of Everyone. Our global team has a rich tapestry of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. And when we each share our unique talents to help those with whom we work, live and serve, we produce better results than any of us can achieve alone. We seek out, include, and value people with different ideas and insights, as they help us continuously improve, innovate and strengthen our decision-making, creating a competitive advantage.

We encourage learning and growth, providing limitless opportunities for employees to continually improve and develop. These opportunities help inspire our people to contribute, grow, and be their best. We work to create a global workplace environment that values employee safety, health and wellness — one that is focused on care, learning, and prevention.

Through the Caterpillar Foundation, our philanthropic arm, we are transforming communities and the modern workforce, making them stronger, more resilient and more sustainable for the future.

The Caterpillar Latino Connection Employee Resource Group’s Language Opportunity

Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) focus on increasing development opportunities, raising internal cultural awareness, and encouraging collaboration across the company. For example, the Caterpillar Latino Connection (CLC) ERG offers Spanish language courses to employees, helping them build skills to strengthen relationships with dealers, customers, and suppliers in Latino and Hispanic countries. The program started small 10 years ago in the U.S. and has now grown globally to more than 1,000 students.
