Christophe Pelé is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for Customer Solutions Growth Regions Division within Construction Industries. In this role, he provides leadership for the commercial team that engages closely with construction and quarry customers across Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia (excluding Japan), and Latin America. This team is focused on solving customer challenges with solutions leveraging Cat and SEM branded products, services, digital, technology, financing and more.
Since joining Caterpillar in 2005, he has held multiple finance, marketing and managerial positions, including corporate & trade finance, sales & marketing, acquisition & divestiture, dealer development, and administration. Previously, he served as senior vice president of EAME Distribution, where he provided governance and administration of Cat® dealers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Eurasia. In addition, he held positions as area, district and regional manager across this region while based in Switzerland, Russia, Kazakhstan, Senegal, the Ivory Coast, and the United Arab Emirates.
Pelé has been serving on the board of directors of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and the global board of the Caterpillar Women in Leadership Network.
He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Emlyon Business School, France, and a master’s in international relations from the National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan. He also completed Caterpillar’s Executive Leadership Development Program in partnership with Duke University, U.S., and the Board of Directors Program from IMD, International Institute for Management Development, Switzerland.
