Herwig Peschl is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for Customer Solutions Core Regions Division within Construction Industries. In this role, he provides leadership for the commercial team that engages closely with construction and quarry customers across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. This team is focused on solving customer challenges with solutions leveraging Cat-branded products, services, digital, technology and more.
Peschl joined Caterpillar in 1997 as a marketing trainee. During his 25-plus years with Caterpillar, he has held a number of commercial, dealer development and project management roles with the company where he’s built deep relationships with customers and dealers across the globe. Prior to this role, Peschl held several senior leadership positions in sales, marketing, and aftermarket services across Construction Industries. In addition, he’s worked closely with dealers to build distribution system capabilities as district manager for northern Europe and Central Asia.
Peschl earned degrees in business from EM Lyon in France and the University of Saarbrücken in Germany. A native of Austria, Peschl is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland and is on the board and managing director of Caterpillar SARL (CSARL).
