Cat® AI Assistant Terms

Usage.
If you access the Cat® AI Assistant through a Machine (as defined in the Onboard EULA) your use is subject to the Onboard EULA (https://www.caterpillar.com/onboard-eula) and these Terms.  If you access the Cat® AI Assistant through Caterpillar websites or apps or otherwise not through a Cat® Machine, your use is subject to Caterpillar’s Website Terms of Use (https://www.caterpillar.com/en/legal-notices.html) and these Terms.

Data Processing.
You understand and agree that Caterpillar may use any inputs to and outputs from the Cat AI Assistant consistent with the Data Governance Statement (https://www.caterpillar.com/en/legal-notices/data-governance-statement.html), including for the purpose of improving Caterpillar’s products and services and that Caterpillar is the sole owner of the results from such training.
To the extent the Cat® AI Assistant processes your Personal Information, you understand and acknowledge that that the Cat AI Assistant will process such Personal Information as described in Caterpillar’s Global Data Privacy Statement (https://www.caterpillar.com/en/legal-notices/dataprivacy.html)

User Responsibility.
The Cat® AI Assistant and the AI-generated output are provided “AS IS”. Caterpillar makes no warranty to, and assumes no responsibility for, the correctness, sufficiency, or completeness of any output. Unless expressly specified in writing by Caterpillar, the Cat® AI Assistant is not designed or intended for use in and may not be used in any emergency, mission-critical, or safety-related functionality, context, or component.  You acknowledge that you remain solely responsible for all decisions, actions, operational decisions, and omissions in connection with your use of the Cat® AI Assistant. The Cat® AI Assistant is not a substitute for your professional judgment, operator training, or safety procedures. You are, and will remain at all times, fully responsible for the safe operation and control of the Cat® Machine and for any reliance on or use of AI functionalities.
