Powering The Work That Strengthens Communities
November 2, 2026
Why Reliable Energy Matters
Across the world, communities are relying on more energy to support the services people depend on every day. From healthcare and transportation to food distribution and education, reliable power has become an essential part of modern life. As organizations expand their reach and demand for critical services grows, the impact of an unexpected power disruption can be significant.
For FeedMore WNY, energy helps make it possible to store food safely, prepare meals, support workforce development programs and serve neighbors across Western New York. Reliable power is more than an operational requirement. It helps ensure individuals can continue to access the resources they need when they need them most. That is why resilient energy infrastructure plays an increasingly important role in helping communities prepare for the future and respond to growing needs.
FeedMore WNY is building a centralized campus to expand food distribution, meal preparation, workforce development and nutrition education across Western New York. The 197,700-square-foot facility responds to growing need. In 2025, FeedMore WNY served nearly 171,000 people across four counties, a 51% increase from 2021.
“Our mission is to provide dignity, hope and brighter futures through nutritious food, friendship and skills training. As the needs of our community continue to grow, this new facility is designed to help us serve our neighbors today and for generations to come.”

Building a Resilient Energy Foundation
To support that mission, Milton CAT worked with the project’s architects and engineers to implement an integrated Caterpillar energy system designed for the facility’s needs and future growth.
Six Cat® CG18 natural gas generator sets, Cat AMP energy-management software, Cat paralleling controls and VisionLink™ technology work together to provide visibility into energy demand and power assets. The system is designed to support operations during utility outages, peak demand and planned maintenance.
Keeping the Focus on Community
With greater visibility into facility energy demand and equipment condition, FeedMore WNY and Milton CAT can identify issues sooner, plan maintenance and make informed decisions about the facility’s power assets. That support helps reduce disruption, allowing FeedMore WNY to stay focused on serving its neighbors.
“FeedMore WNY’s impact on the community is extraordinary. We’re proud to help provide the resilient energy infrastructure that supports their mission today and helps position them for continued growth in the future.”

The impact of reliable energy reaches far beyond the walls of a facility. It helps protect the food families depend on, sustain programs that create opportunity and keep vital resources moving throughout the community.
