Tara L. Rossman

Tara Rossman is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for the Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD), which provides global service offerings for the oil and gas and marine industries. The division oversees sales and product support for oil and gas engines; manufacturing, sales and support of pressure pumping solutions; and sales and support for medium- and high-speed marine engines, generator sets and auxiliary engines. The portfolio includes Cat^®, SPM Oil & Gas and MaK products supported through a global network of Cat and MaK dealers, as well as SPM Oil & Gas distribution centers, OEMs and direct customer channels.

Rossman joined Caterpillar in June 2001. During her Caterpillar career, she has also held roles in fleet management, safety management, service operations, aftermarket services, project management, change management, sales data analytics, solutions development and solutions execution.

Prior to being appointed senior vice president of COGMD, Rossman served as vice president and general manager of Caterpillar Tracked-Products within the Resource Industries Operations and Products Division (RIOP), leading a global team responsible for products including draglines, electric rope shovels, hydraulic mining shovels, large track-type tractors and surface rock drills, with accountability for product development, financial performance, research and development, value chain and new product introductions.

Rossman holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Iowa.
