Robert Janssen

Rob Janssen is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for the Building Construction Products (BCP) Division. This role provides global leadership across design, operations, procurement, sales, marketing, and product support for Caterpillar’s compact, versatile construction machines and attachments business.

Janssen previously served as the vice president of operations responsible for safety, lean processes and operational efficiencies across BCP’s global facilities. Prior to this, Janssen drove cross-functional development of operations and supply chain for current and future Electrification & Energy Solutions products within hybrid and electric offerings. He led a global team focused on the strategy and execution of motors and power-electronics component development for the Caterpillar product portfolio.

Before joining Caterpillar, Rob spent more than 20 years in manufacturing leadership roles, Honda of America, where he supported multiple company startups and program launches, and served as a founding member of a Honda/GM fuel cell development and manufacturing joint venture.

Janssen graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and manufacturing systems engineering.
