Melissa Busen is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for the Electric Power Division (EPD). She provides global leadership for the electric power products and services business, creating energy outcomes for customers through gensets, renewable energy assets, power optimization solutions and aftermarket services leveraging global dealer support under the Cat, MWM and FG Wilson brands.
Busen joined Caterpillar in 2004 as a commercial pricing analyst. During her 20-plus years with Caterpillar, she has held a number of commercial, product, dealer, and digital roles with the company, where she’s built deep relationships with customers and dealers across the globe.
Prior to being appointed senior vice president of Electric Power Division, Busen served as vice president and general manager of Large Electric Power Solutions and vice president of Digital Product Management. She’s also previously held several leadership positions within Global Construction & Infrastructure and Global Aftermarket Services Division, including global strategy director and global aftermarket insights manager.
Busen graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, is a certified management accountant, and certified pricing professional.
