Jamie L. Engstrom is a Caterpillar Inc. senior vice president with responsibility for the Global Information Services (GIS) Division and Chief Information Officer. In this position, she leads a team responsible for Caterpillar’s global information technology (IT) systems, cybersecurity and IT transformation.
Prior to being named vice president of GIS, Engstrom was chief information officer for our Financial Products Division in Nashville, TN.
Engstrom joined Caterpillar in May 1999 and has held positions across procurement and IT. Her extensive background in IT includes global leadership accountabilities in large-scale systems transformations, cybersecurity, cloud and application management, global data center management, worldwide network, servers and storage, database management and end user services.
Engstrom earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Illinois State University and an MBA from Bradley University in 2002. In 2018, she completed the Women’s Executive Leadership Program through the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was also awarded the 2018 Ones to Watch Award from the CIO Executive Council. Jamie is a member of World 50, a private community for CEOs and C-level executives at globally respected organizations. She has also recently served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, Easterseals Central Illinois and the Illinois Cancer Care Advisory Board.
