Ebban M. Clause
Ebban Clause is the chief sustainability and strategy officer of Caterpillar Inc. This role further enhances the advancement of solutions to support Caterpillar’s customers as they navigate the evolving energy landscape and helps them achieve their sustainability-related objectives.
Clause is also a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., leading the Enterprise Strategy Division. She oversees the continued execution of Caterpillar’s strategy for long-term profitable growth, leveraging the Operating & Execution Model as Caterpillar continues introducing innovative solutions to make its customers more successful.
Prior to being appointed senior vice president of the Enterprise Strategy Division in May 2026, Clause was vice president of Technology and Customer Engagement for Core Regions within Caterpillar’s Construction Industries (CI) segment. Previously, she served as vice president of CI Services Development, where she focused on strengthening customer-focused service offerings.
During her 20-plus years at Caterpillar Clause has served in a number of commercial and dealer development roles throughout North America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Eurasia. Through these assignments she has built trusted relationships with customers while gaining firsthand insight into the challenges they face along with a deep understanding of the industries Caterpillar serves. Clause’s career includes senior leadership roles in sales, marketing, and aftermarket services based in both Europe and the United States.
Passionate about her community, Clause serves on the Texas Advisory Board of the Midwest Food Bank and is active within the National Charity League. Clause holds bachelor’s degrees in marketing and international business from Iowa State University near where she grew up and brings a global, customer-focused perspective to helping Caterpillar and its customers succeed—today and into the future.
