Disability Benefits
Caterpillar offers leave benefits that allow employees to take time away from work for various reasons in connection with the Federal and State Leave of Absence laws. While certain types of leave are required by law, Caterpillar provides additional benefits that may help employees with additional time off. These leaves of absence may be paid, partially paid or unpaid.

Eligibility and Enrollment
Regular full-time employees are eligible for disability benefits.
As an eligible Caterpillar employee, you’re automatically enrolled in the disability plan(s). An eligibility probationary period and a waiting period before coverage begins may apply.
