Q –What is NAVEX Global?
A – NAVEX Global is an independent organization staffed by specialists, to answer each Helpline call since their personnel are available to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call, you do not have to give your name. Each call to the Helpline and submission to the online reporting tool will be summarized in a report by an interview specialist from NAVEX Global, Inc. Reports will be sent electronically to the Office of Business Practices and receive prompt, personal attention.
Q – What happens when I contact the Hotline?
A – A customized web form or a professional interview specialist will document your concern and relay the information to our organization for follow up.
Q – What happens after I call?
A – Upon receipt of the report, NAVEX Global forwards the information to the appropriate contacts to review and follow up. Reports are handled promptly and discreetly.
Q – Can I get in trouble for making a report?
A - Caterpillar will not take any action against you as a result of raising an ethical issue in good faith. Also, Caterpillar does not tolerate any reprisal by any individual against an employee for raising a concern or making a report in good faith.
Q – What if I’m not sure that actual misconduct is taking place?
A – Even if you only suspect misconduct, we want to hear about it so we can take appropriate action and prevent harm.
Q – What if I have more questions or information?
A – Employees are encouraged to call back to provide additional information or to answer other questions our company might have.
Q – Can I find out how an investigation turns out?
A –Conclusions and specific corrective actions from investigations, if any, may not be communicated.
