We are honored to participate in the International Women’s Day campaign alongside many other companies worldwide – celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The Power of Everyone is rooted in the belief that our individual actions and mindsets as Caterpillar employees, customers, and dealers impact the success of our entire organization and the industries we serve. Collectively, we can make big change happen.

With this year’s campaign, we ask you to maintain a gender equal mindset and help create positive visibility for women in our traditionally male-dominated industries. Share the #PowerofEveryone by celebrating women’s achievements in construction, mining, agriculture, landscaping, paving, technology, government, and so on. Not only would we love to see hear your stories through the IWD challenge, but we also greatly value the impact you have on your industry.

Kristin Gaskill has leveraged her diverse network to encourage her to take changes and step outside of her comfort zone. This encouragement ultimately led to her involvement of co-chairing Caterpillar’s annual Women in Leadership Conference.

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP

Women in Leadership is our intentional, focused step on a continuous journey towards impacting gender balance. We are encouraging global changes in staff and executive talent, helping our female employees — and Caterpillar — be competitively positioned for the future. There are three main areas of focus in order to drive this crucial change:

We are vocal in our support of women inspiring great ideas and innovation. That means we properly recognize and celebrate women who are getting results.

Pipeline
We ensure women are given fair access to career development and leadership opportunities, and encourage more women to join our company’s work. 

Culture
We actively shape policies and procedures to better support and inspire women to start or continue their employment with us. Our Women’s Initiative Network is just one of many groups focused on this effort.
