Improving

For more than 90 years, our products and services have been building the world’s infrastructure, enabling higher standards of living. Through the work of our global team, our solutions help make our planet a better place to live – where roads connect families, schools educate children, and hospitals heal the sick.

Infrastructure

The world depends on modern transportation and stable infrastructure to grow fledgling economies and bring power to remote areas. Developing regions require new infrastructure, and the developed world needs to repair aging foundations. We support projects to build and maintain infrastructure that moves people and goods throughout the world. New roads in remote areas create opportunities for education and medical care. Repairing crumbling infrastructure supplies local jobs and improves transportation safety. Electricity in remote areas means modernization of homes, schools, libraries and businesses. Wherever there’s a need, we’ll be there, helping to pave roads and light the way.

Mining

Building a better world starts with basics – and for many raw materials – that means mining. The old saying goes, “if it wasn’t grown, it was mined.” Truth is, mining enables our modern world to degrees that are astounding.

Caterpillar is committed to supporting the mining industry and helping customers operate in safe and sustainable ways – meeting the needs of a growing world without compromising tomorrow. We work alongside customers to help keep mines efficient and productive.  At the same time, we work diligently to protect the health and safety of the environment and miners – our goal is that everyone returns safely home to family every day.  Nothing is more important.

Our commitment to the mining industry means the world can continue to benefit from advanced medical devices that save lives, farming equipment that puts food on the table, and cell phones that connect loved ones.

MODERN DAY BROUGHT TO YOU BY MINED PRODUCTS

Think your life isn’t impacted much by the mining industry? Think again. Without mining, our lives as we know them would be very different: There would be no mass-produced light bulbs, no microwave ovens, no computer monitors.
