Sustainability has been a part of Caterpillar’s DNA since we started creating long-lasting, hardy products that stand the test of time. But in 1973 we upped the ante, creating Cat Reman, a proprietary state-of-the-art refurbishment process that creates like-new products from old parts.
Today, Cat Reman provides more than 8,000 unique parts at 45–85% of the cost of new products.
Compared to new products, Cat Reman products use 80–90% less new materials and take 65–87% less energy to produce.
