Caterpillar has received reports of fraudulent e-mails (phishing) referencing career opportunities at the company or Caterpillar subsidiaries. The messages mislead users by claiming to be employees of Caterpillar or as authorized recruiting agency of Caterpillar and request the user to deposit money in lieu of providing employment or as deposit towards travel for interviews or other job facilitation activity. 

Caterpillar does not send unsolicited offers of employment. We never ask candidates to pay money as recruitment charges or any other fee for employment with the company. Individuals dealing with such an agency/employment portal/persons will be doing so at his/her own risk and the Company will not be held responsible for loss or damage suffered directly or indirectly.

Take Action if You Receive a Suspicious Email

If you suspect you have been sent a fraudulent email, please forward the email to global_security@cat.com. Please don't cut and paste the email, and don't change the subject line or forward it as an attachment, as that makes it harder for us to investigate. 

If you are ever in doubt about the authenticity of an email, don't provide personal or sensitive information to the sender of that email.

Do not click any links or reply to the e-mail, and more importantly, do not open any attachments to the e-mail.
