1. How did your career bring you to Caterpillar and why was Caterpillar the best employer for you?
My military experience: West Point Grad, Airborne, Ranger, Aviator with significant command, operations, logistics and purchasing background. Served 20 years Active Duty and 11 years traditional National Guard (Illinois and Pennsylvania). Deployed to Afghanistan as Base Operations Commander for Kandahar, Afghanistan. War College Graduate. My time at Caterpillar: Served in a variety of leader roles for warehouse and commercial management in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois and Japan. Also managed contracts for military support and companies' external to Caterpillar through CAT logistics.

2. What are your current roles and responsibilities at Caterpillar?
I lead a team to support development and execution of new enterprise level supply chain concepts, with focus on inventory reduction and supply chain response time improvement.

3. From your perspective, how and why do you believe that Caterpillar would benefit from hiring military veterans into the company?
Military veterans bring high values, willingness to work hard to meet goals, maturity, education and drive for success that can strongly support Caterpillar's focus to be the most successful company in all markets it serves.

4. What would you say to the veteran candidate pool to encourage them to choose Caterpillar as their employer of choice?
If you're looking for a company with focus on integrity, excellence, teamwork and commitment, with a long history of success and support to military, providing challenging work and exciting opportunities, then Caterpillar may be your best choice. It was for me.
