Caterpillar’s Digital DNA: Customer Connections

“People are really excited” about the investment we’ve made in digital and consultative services within Cat® Connect. “It’s up to us to harvest that excitement,” says Digital & Technology Manager Terri Lewis.

Terri works within Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation organization and closely with divisions throughout our company as we build Cat Connect technologies and services that create value for customers, dealers and Caterpillar. These services, like Product Link Web, Cat Asset Intelligence and Advanced Condition Monitoring, use electronics, communication, software, sensing and analytics to help customers with asset management, condition and remote monitoring and more.

According to Terri, our digital strategy fundamentally starts with great products and expertise about our customers’ businesses. On top of that, we’re developing true business processes to collaborate with customers and dealers – and through this close collaboration, we’re developing fuller, deeper and more integrated relationships with these two key groups.
