Caterpillar Wins 2016 ANNY Excellence in Analytics Award

October 5, 2016

During the 2016 Analytics Symposium in Boston, Caterpillar Inc. received first place in the Excellence in Analytics "ANNY" Awards for Caterpillar’s Assurance Supply Center. The ANNY award recognizes organizations’ dedication to using analytics to improve business results at the project or organizational level.

The International Institute for Analytics (IIA), the leading research and advisory firm focused on guiding its clients to leverage the power of analytics, deemed Caterpillar’s project submission as “exceeding judges' expectations and firmly demonstrating the organization's commitment to advancing analytics capabilities”.

“Caterpillar's Assurance of Supply Center and the analytics capabilities developed by this team are being recognized for enabling dramatic supply network performance improvement from 2012 to today. The ANNY award is significant recognition of the overall team's excellence in driving this large-scale business analytics endeavor across the company and solving business issues associated with managing supply network performance,” said Tori Rollings Assurance of Supply Manager and project sponsor.

Supply Chain Analytics Supervisor Ken Masters added, “A key factor for success was the Analytic Hub and Spoke model between Global Supply Network Division and Information Analytics. This collaboration embeds the analytic process from the development activity through the production system, and assures that the business solution provides value to the enterprise.”
