Iowa State University Alumni Welcome University President to Caterpillar

On June 12, red and gold met black and yellow, but no rivalry existed. Iowa State University President, Steven Leath and his wife Janet came to Peoria to visit Caterpillar's world headquarters. Leath toured Facility SS and then was taken on an equipment tour given by ISU alumni at the Caterpillar Visitors Center.

"The visit was an opportunity to demonstrate how Iowa State alumni are developing fulfilling careers and delivering results for Caterpillar. We look forward to a continued partnership with Iowa State to build our pipeline of talented professionals," said Mylissa Carstens, Caterpillar 6 Sigma Black Belt and Iowa State Campus Coordinator.

The partnership between Iowa State and Caterpillar goes all the way back to 1930 when the first two Iowa State graduates were hired. Caterpillar currently employs more than 400 active Iowa State alums worldwide.
