Halco Rock Tools Supports BBC's Children In Need

Halco Rock Tools recently participated in the BBC's Children In Need, a charity appeal which raises funds used for grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. The organization is local to people in all corners of the UK and supports small and large organizations which empower children and extend their life choices.

Children In Need's vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood which is safe, happy and secure and allows them the chance to reach their potential.

Money raised by Children In Need has helped many organisations across the country, including one close to Halco's headquarters in Brighouse. Forget Me Not is a children's hospice which supports children with life limiting conditions and their families in West Yorkshire. So far, they have supported more than 80 children and their families through our hospice at home service and at their new state-of-the-art hospice which opened in June. Each year, the children's hospice has to raise £2.5 million to support the care that they give, of which only 4 percent is government-funded.

This year, Halco Rock Tools has raised £450 across different events held at our facilities in the UK and US. Members of staff contributed to our “Bring and Buy” sale where homemade cakes were sold and consumed.

As a values-based business, we put commitment in action when we are pro-active members of our communities. Halco Rock Tools is committed to supporting our local charities, as individuals and as a company; and we believe our success should also contribute to the quality of life in, and the prosperity and sustainability of, communities where we work and live.
