Halco Rock Tools, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, has recently relocated its head office to Brighouse, West Yorkshire, three miles from its previous site at Southowram, Halifax.
July 1 marked the completion of a two-month transition to the new facility. The Brighouse location will serve as the head office of Halco which houses all key support functions including finance, sales, human resources, design, purchasing and quality, as well as the main manufacturing facility for down-the-hole (DTH) hammers and associated consumables. The company employs 87 people at the Brighouse site and is part of Caterpillar’s Mining Products Division.
“We are extremely pleased to have completed this transition to our new facility which meets our needs both now and in the future,” said Richard Wingate, Halco Rock Tools facility manager. “It’s great to be in our new home.
“We are looking forward to being pro-active members of this community. As a Caterpillar company, we encourage all employees to participate in community activities that promote the common good and believe our success should also contribute to the quality of life in the communities where we work and live.”
