Customer Focused: Building Construction Products Hosts "Agriculture Customer Days"

On June 10-12, Caterpillar's Building Construction Products division hosted 50 customers at the first "Agriculture Customer Days" to showcase the Clayton, NC, and Sanford, NC, facilities. These facilities produce small wheel loaders, skid steer loaders and compact track loaders, which are heavily used in the agriculture market to move feed, hay, fertilizer and waste. Additionally, BCP demonstrated the versatility of Cat® machines, work tools and vocational trucks in an agriculture operation.

The invitees had the opportunity to view and operate the equipment during the event.

"I had a fantastic time! [I received] a lot of information and I will come back again," said customer Todd Shilts.

The North American agriculture industry represents a huge opportunity for new machine sales. Customers from across the country representing California, Texas, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and North Carolina attended the event. It provided an opportunity for these customers to gain a better understanding of Caterpillar and the extensive support that stands behind machine sales through the Cat dealer network.
