Caterpillar Visitors Center Opens Two New Exhibits Honoring Heritage of Cat® Dealers

Cat® dealers are integral to the success of Caterpillar - the heart of the Caterpillar brand is a commitment to the customer. Caterpillar and its dealers have a long history of providing unmatched product support and customer service. To celebrate this history, the Caterpillar Visitors Center recently opened two new exhibits in its Heritage Gallery which showcase the hard work and dedication of Cat dealers throughout the years.

The "Cat Dealers - The Face of Caterpillar" exhibit displays trinkets that dealers used to advertise Caterpillar products to customers from the 1930s through 1950s. Some of the trinkets include matchbooks, fans, pencils, a letter opener and a key holder.

The "Caterpillar's Unmatched Product Support" exhibit showcases scale models that are representations of dealer and company service and parts vehicles dating back to the early 1900s.

The Caterpillar Visitors Center is located at 110 SW Washington Street in downtown Peoria, open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday (last ticket sold at 3:30 p.m.).

Yancey and Ziegler are two Cat® dealers which have memorabilia on display in the new exhibits at the Caterpillar Visitors Center.
