After applying for a grant from the Caterpillar Foundation and losing hope in the weeks that passed, the Livingston County (Ill.) Community Pantry Administrative Coordinator Joan Bevill received the call that the grant was accepted.
"Oh my goodness, it was so exciting," Bevill said. "There were people shouting and clapping here in the pantry."
Bevill said between 850-1,000 people a month are in need of food pantry provisions. Donations are limited in the summer months, so every bit helps.
