Building a Connection

At Caterpillar, we love to connect with you – our customers and fans—in ways that showcase our brand, our technology and solutions inspired by you. We know you have important work to do and we want to be your partner in getting it done. Whether it’s growing awareness to critical industry issues, or supporting environmental, economic and social commitments, sponsorships provide us an opportunity to engage with you on another level.

In 2019, we were excited to connect with customers and fans through a variety of sponsorships. Check out a few of our favorites.

Cat Racing

In North America, Cat Racing teams competed hard on the tracks and the Richard Childress Racing No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 sported some unique paint schemes at a number of races, from Cat Large Dozers in Phoenix to the Next Gen Dozers in Dallas to the throwback, original gray and red Cat machine colors in Darlington. In Charlotte, the sported the 306CR Next Gen Excavator. Like the No. 57 Heinricher Racing car, where fans were able to sign the hood this season, this car design featured the Cat logo made up of the names of more than 300 customers, dealers and Cat team members that inspired and created the Next Gen Excavators - which provide the first true differentiation in excavators in decades.

In Japan, more than eleven-thousand people attended the 23rd Cat Ladies Golf Tournament. The three day event saw Saki Asai grabbing the lead on the very first day and hung on to claim her first LPGA tour victory shooting an impressive 10-under par. China Basketball Association

In China, our sponsorship of the China Basketball Association continues to engage people across the country. On Valentine’s Day, hundreds of Caterpillar employees and customers celebrated with family and friends at a game at the National Olympic Sports Center in Beijing. At that game, Sam Teng and Miya Zhai from the Caterpillar Wuxi Campus got engaged with one of our machines featured prominently in the scene. With many promotions such as the CatⓇ Doer Alliance in the works, we’re hopeful that “working together to build a beautiful China” rings true for many more people in the future.
