Caterpillar Foundation Supports World Water Day

In celebration of World Water Day on March 22, the Caterpillar Foundation has produced a video featuring Caterpillar Foundation President Michele Sullivan and Charity Water CEO Scott Harrison. Sullivan and Harrison share three ways to take action and get involved in this global event.

World Water Day is a day to celebrate water. It’s a day to prepare for how we manage water in the future.  It’s about how water links to all areas we need to consider to create the future we want.

“The Caterpillar Foundation supports the UN World Water Day because it aligns with our mission to turn the spiral of poverty into a path to prosperity. According to the UN, more than 748 million people do not have access to clean water. The lack of water access disproportionately affects girls and women. We believe addressing this important issue and encouraging Caterpillar employees to take action will help the Foundation accomplish our aspirational goal to place 50 million people on the ‘path to prosperity’ by 2020,” Sullivan said.
