Hoping to improve her standard of living, Titik enrolled in an EquipYouth program near her home in Jakarta, Indonesia. EquipYouth is an initiative created by the International Youth Foundation (IYF), with support from the Caterpillar Foundation, which provides disadvantaged young people with opportunities to achieve economic independence. Students, like Titik, receive market-relevant technical and life skills training, as well as job placement services. Just two months after graduating from EquipYouth, Titik become the first person in her family to work in an office. Today, she is proud to be one of the few women working as a drafter at Indalex, a technical company in Jakarta.
