Global Poverty Project Helps Sanction Water for the World Act

On a quest to provide clean water to those in need, Caterpillar Foundation partner Global Poverty Project was able to bring the Water for the World Act before Congress after 18 months of organizing. Today, Water for the World helps address the global needs of 2.5 billion people without access to a toilet and 750 million who still live without clean drinking water. Providing water, sanitation and hygiene to those in need will help stop the spread of deadly diseases, prevent some leading causes of child deaths, reduce household poverty, increase girls' educational opportunities and advance economic growth in developing countries.
