Wenona, nine, lives in a low-income housing community near Lafayette, Indiana and attends a summer program run by Food Finders food bank. Food Finders provides lunch for kids at multiple sites throughout the summer, a time when parents struggle to provide extra meals their children otherwise receive for free in school. The program also organizes daily games and activities, while teaching kids about nutrition. "This is a very good program," Wenona says, "they should have it in lots of different places because it's not just kids in my neighborhood who need help. Kids need help all over."
