Jeffrey A. Wilson

Jeffrey (Jeff) Wilson is Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer and a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc. In partnership with Caterpillar’s Chief Sustainability Officer, he plays a significant role in various sustainability initiatives and disclosures, including leading the development of Caterpillar’s annual Sustainability Report and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Wilson also oversees Caterpillar’s Total Rewards function, where he is responsible for executive and employee compensation, benefits, retirement, recognition, global mobility and corporate environmental health and safety.  

Wilson joined Caterpillar in 2018 following more than three decades of progressive Total Rewards, Human Resources and Operations experience around the world and across the transportation, retail and financial services industries. His 35-year career includes executive leadership positions with The Western Union Company, Walmart and United Parcel Service (UPS), where he started his career and served for more than 25 years in various leadership roles.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Illinois State University. He is a member of World at Work, The Conference Board, and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
