You Can Make a Difference

October 9, 2015

In challenging times, our friends, families and communities need us more than ever. We know Caterpillar’s employees, customers and fans generously contribute time and resources to promote the health, welfare and economic stability of communities around the world. Likewise, the Caterpillar Foundation’s mission is simple: To turn the spiral of poverty into a path to prosperity.

You can make a positive difference.

October 11 marks International Day of the Girl – a day focused on galvanizing worldwide enthusiasm to better girls’ lives and provide opportunities for them to reach their full potential. Only 30 percent of girls in the world are enrolled in secondary school. You can make a positive difference in a girl’s life by mentoring, tutoring or supporting organizations like Girl Up, an organization the Foundation invests in. October 16 and 17 also mark World Food Day and International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Sign the United Nations’ Zero Hunger Challenge Declaration. If you’re in the United States, you can also take the Feeding America’s pledge* to volunteer at a food bank.

Join citizens across the globe to support the Global Poverty Project and take the Global Citizen Pledge*.

* Note: If you are a Caterpillar employee, use your Caterpillar email address when signing up. Your information will not be provided to third parties.
