Acceptance. Strength. Empowerment. These three words likely resonate with every one of us in some way. For Director of Corporate Social Innovation and Caterpillar Foundation President Michele Sullivan, these three words have shaped her life. They are also the themes she highlighted when she gave a TED Talk last fall at TEDWomen 2016, becoming the first Caterpillar employee to do so. In her 12-minute talk, she speaks candidly about the challenges she has overcome in life and reminds us that we must never assume we understand what someone is going through. We must learn to accept and support one another and not be afraid to ask for help. Regardless of the obstacles you face in life, you can hopefully benefit from these important lessons.
