Caterpillar Celebrates #GivingTuesday by Giving the Gift of Power to Haiti’s St. Luke’s hospital

November 29th is #GivingTuesday—a global movement designed to celebrate giving and to inspire people to take collaborative action. This effort harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners—nonprofits, businesses and corporations as well as families and individuals—to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they celebrate and help create a better world.

This year, as Caterpillar and the Caterpillar Foundation celebrate #GivingTuesday, and the 35th anniversary of our 3500 engine, we also celebrate our gift of a 3500 generator to the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti. Announced at Global Citizen Festival in September, the generator will be delivered in 2017 and provide reliable energy access to over 150,000 people annually. The generator will power 3 hospitals, 32 schools, orphanages, bakeries and more.
