Women's Initiative Network (WIN)

Who We Are
The Women's Initiative Network (WIN) develops women to act as catalysts for local and global change, and works to build on the strength of women to create empowered connections across Caterpillar, driving personal and professional growth.

WIN was founded in 2006 to provide personal and professional development opportunities to employees across Caterpillar.

Ten years later, WIN is 3,000+ members strong, with 50 chapters around the world.

Vision:

Build on the strength of women and create empowered connections across Caterpillar to drive personal and professional growth.

Mission:

WIN is a supportive network that accelerates business results by developing women who act as catalysts for global and local change.

WIN Global focuses on global events and programming, serving employees across Caterpillar.  Additionally, we have local chapters in many locations that provide more hands on opportunities to get involved at the facility and community level.  Please consider joining a chapter in your area.

Business Acumen - Focuses on strengthening the knowledge and understanding of key business activities at Caterpillar and provides employees with a better understanding of financial and market information which drives Caterpillar's strategies.

Next Leaders - Provides a forum for less experienced professional women who would like the opportunity to enhance their effectiveness at Caterpillar via networking, information exchange and developing mentor/mentee relationships.

Women in Leadership - Addresses the needs and interests of women who are currently serving in leadership positions within Caterpillar.

Work-Life Balance - Focuses on how employees at Caterpillar balance the needs of work and the needs of home. This team finds creative ways to help employees make the decisions that works best for their situations.

WIN holds monthly general membership meetings, which are sponsored by the focus groups. During each meeting a guest speaker is invited to talk to members about topics and issues that are important to Caterpillar and its women employees, as well as provide members with an opportunity to meet and network with one another.

WIN's sponsor is Karl Weiss, vice president for the Caterpillar Earthmoving Division. Karl is an integral part of our affinity group attending general membership meetings, as well as providing strategic direction to the board.
