Job Site Impact: Manufacturing Engineers

Mine sites all over are pulling critical resources that keep the lights on and world turning. But the trucks hauling those resources don’t run themselves, at least not without help from Caterpillar solutions and engineers like Divek Antony.

As a manufacturing engineer, Divek Antony is focused on helping customers transition manual mining trucks into autonomous vehicles with Cat® Command for Hauling, which ultimately increases efficiency and safety. To assist in the transition, Divek’s team goes directly to the mine site. This method of onsite installation reduces the downtime of the machine in the field and supports productivity.

Divek is accustomed to traveling frequently and across continents to installation site locations. “Once the parts arrive to the mine site, we travel there to help with assembly and provide support to the customer. Beyond that, we continue to provide whatever support is needed to keep the machines up and running.” Due to travel restrictions caused by the global pandemic, the team has taken their support virtually, while upholding the overall commitment to quality customer support.

Divek believes in the products and services delivered by Team Caterpillar, “The technologies we provide, like Cat MineStar™ and Command, enhance the reliability of our products.” He takes pride in seeing his work in action. “Making things run and seeing them running in the field- that’s the impact. Whether it’s mining or manufacturing, seeing the impact of your work makes all the difference.” Are you ready to see your work build a better world?
