After being named by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW) as the current best company to work for in Brazil, Caterpillar has nothing else to achieve in this area … not until the announcement of the best company to work in the ag business, placing Caterpillar at the top of the podium.
The ceremony was held during Agrishow, one of the largest ag trade shows in the world, where Odair Renosto, Caterpillar Brasil General Manager and Country Manager received the trophy on behalf of all employees. “Historically, the agriculture sector is one of the main drivers of Brazil’s GDP and rural producers utilize construction equipment for maintenance and support activities. What made the recognition even more special is the fact that Caterpillar started in the ag business more than 90 years ago and it continues to be an important sector for the company”, said Renosto.
Employees’ opinion matter
For more than a decade, Caterpillar has been among the top ten best companies to work for in Brazil, standing at the highest position in 2009 and 2018. This result demonstrates the consistency of company’s practices and employees’ perception of them. Odair emphasized that “the participation of employees in this study demonstrates we are in the right path to guarantee that our solutions will continue to help customers to build a better world.
