Allison Pepper has worked at Caterpillar for more than five years and her career has taken her all over the globe. She currently resides in England, where she applies the same strategic skillset she leverages as a Global Distribution Development Manager to assist in the development and expansion of the Caterpillar Young Professionals group.
Allison Pepper joined Caterpillar because of its strong global presence and the opportunities a Fortune 100 company would be able to provide. An urge to move around and travel drove Allison to join one of the rotational programs. This program offered a holistic view of the enterprise and its impact from different locations around the world, as well as the chance to connect with peers. The desire to connect with peers coupled with a high-level understanding of the enterprise resulted in Allison being asked to assist in the launch of a new chapter of the Young Professionals (YP) Employee Resource Group (ERG). Allison found her involvement with YP provided sense of community with those of similar age and experience-level.

Allison’s career journey eventually moved her out of the rotational program, ultimately moving her into her current role as Global Distribution Development Manager based in Peterborough, England. In this position she leverages a strategic skillset to create sustainable relationships with distributors and dealers. Throughout her journey at Caterpillar she has maintained involvement with YP, holding positions as the Chapter Development Chair as well as the Vice Chair of Global YP, where s he has implemented a sustainable model for the ERG to continue enriching the experiences of young professionals at Caterpillar. “Caterpillar affords the opportunity to do many different things- you can’t go wrong because you can do anything that interests you,” she said. In her spare time, Allison and her husband take full advantage of the proximity to the rest of the world living in England allows. When they aren’t traveling for fun, you can find Allison at home with her two cats, Moose and Ralph, binge-reading Michael Connelly books.
