Manufacturing Engineering track

The Leadership & Technical Development Program (LTDP) - Manufacturing Engineering track is a three-year program with three challenging rotation assignments tailored to your individual development needs. This community includes manufacturing engineering, technical services, facilities planning, quality engineering, purchasing, and Caterpillar Production System deployment.

While in the program, you will have two one-year rotations in manufacturing engineering focused on machining, assembly, process engineering or fabrications. You will also have a one-year cross-functional rotation in quality, purchasing, supply chain management or logistics. With each rotation, you will improve your technical skills through core and track specific training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. Upon completion of your last rotation, you will return to your hiring organization for your final assignment.

We are looking for engineers who have:

  • Minimum GPA: 2.8 on a 4.0 scale (no rounding)
  • Bachelor's degree in (preferred, but not limited to): Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Operations Management
  • Passion for technology
  • Ability to relocate for rotation assignments
