Our Key Areas of Focus

Access to a quality education helps break the cycle of generational poverty, contributes to business growth and builds strong economies. Our programs target four vital areas:

  • Numeracy and literacy – Helping individuals build the academic foundation to thrive in society
  • Science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM)) – Building proficiency in subjects that enable people to succeed in the global economy
  • Mentoring & leadership – Improving youth academic performance through essential skills development
  • Workforce readiness – Providing the basic skills and training needed to find and maintain quality employment

Protecting and preserving the environment while building the local economy is critical to long-term sustainable development. We support programs that focus on building awareness of and advocating the importance of:

  • Natural Resource Management in economic growth and development
  • Building awareness and advocating land erosion prevention
  • Promoting soil conservation
  • Reducing pollution
  • Encouraging reforestation

When people’s basic human needs are met, they are able to more effectively pursue economic and education opportunities. We contribute to these needs by:

  • Food – Increasing the availability of healthy, nutritious meals
  • Water – Improving access to clean water and sanitation
  • Shelter – Helping people find safe, affordable housing
  • Energy – Ensuring access to modern energy services and safe cooking technologies
  • Disaster relief – Responding to those impacted by natural disasters
