Building Construction Products at Leicester is dedicated to the assembly of small construction machines, typically used on building and construction sites - Backhoe Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders. Founded in 1952, Leicester was the first venture by Caterpillar, outside the United States. The Caterpillar Building Construction Products' fabrication facility at Stockton uses the latest technology to cut, weld and machine all the major structures for use at its assembly plant at Leicester.

Caterpillar Impact Products Ltd. (CIPL), based in Slough, is a product group with worldwide responsibility for machine-mounted hydraulic hammers. These hammers fit onto Mini Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Steer Loaders, Backhoe Loaders and Hydraulic Excavators.

CIPL was formed in 1997 as a joint venture between Caterpillar Inc. and Sandvik AB of Sweden, and has staff in six countries outside the UK.

Caterpillar has been providing remanufacturing services for more than 20 years. The European Remanufacturing Centre of the Caterpillar remanufacturing Services Division is located in Shrewsbury. Using a host of remanufacturing technologies, the facility receives engines and a range of other components from customers, and cleans, refurbishes, reassembles and updates them in compliance with the exacting standards set by Caterpillar. The site remanufactures thousands of items each year, bringing significant environmental and cost benefits to Caterpillar and third-party customers.

Founded in 1966, Caterpillar (NI) Limited is Europe's largest diesel generating set manufacturer.

The company houses eight Caterpillar divisions across four sites in Northern Ireland and has global manufacturing facilities in Brazil, China, India and the USA. The company’s products have been providing people and businesses around the world with a reliable power supply since 1966 by manufacturing and installing high quality generating sets for prime and standby power applications.

Products are exported throughout the globe and directly support key business sectors including the telecoms, healthcare, tourism/ leisure, retail and banking industries. Ranging from 6.8 - 2,200 kVA, they include open and enclosed generator sets providing both prime and standby power - from standby domestic use, right up to power modules with the ability to operate as complete power stations supplying electricity to national grids.

The Monkstown facility, located five miles north of Belfast, specialises in heavy sheet metal fabrication and produces base frames and fuel tanks. The Springvale facility, located in Belfast specialises in light sheet metal fabrication and is home to the production of all enclosures and control systems. The fourth site in Northern Ireland is an office based facility located in the same business park as the Springvale manufacturing plant and this is home to the legal services team, global order fulfillment, accounts payable and the FG Wilson sales and marketing teams.

Caterpillar Skinningrove is located near Teesside and began operations in 1997. The facility, part of the Remanufacturing and Components Division, produces steel track shoes. When mounted on the track link assembly, the track shoes form the 'Cat track' found on Hydraulic Excavators, Track Type Loaders and Track Type Tractors. The operations include steel cutting, heat treatment, and painting and cover an area of approximately 5,000 square metres.
