CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH


Based in Peoria, Illinois, Company K was comprised of African Americans who worked in local businesses, schools and even factories and was part of the 8th Infantry Regiment of the Illinois National Guard. The photos featured in this video are a sampling of a rare collection of images owned by the Peoria Historical Society.
