Caterpillar participating in National Apprenticeship Week 11–15 March

Caterpillar is proud to be participating in National Apprenticeship Week 11-15 March in the U.K. Organised by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), this annual event promotes apprenticeships as a route to higher qualifications for young people that involve paid employment at the same time they are studying and training.

"We are proud to be a supporter of Apprenticeships because of the effective way in which they provide Caterpillar with a pipeline of future talent. Our apprentices benefit from a structured training and development programme, adding a zest and vitality to our workplaces throughout the U.K.," said Simon Collins, EAME Future Talent Development manager.

Caterpillar in the U.K. is a strong advocate of apprenticeships, with long-standing and successful schemes at Peterborough and Peterlee. We employ hundreds of apprentices across our U.K. Businesses, ranging from the biggest scheme at Desford, which employs more than 100 apprentices, to Skinningrove and Stockton who employ a handful at their respective facilities. The quality of Caterpillar apprenticeship schemes was recognised in 2012 by the accolade bestowed on Caterpillar U.K. by NAS of one of The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers, while the schemes at Peterlee, Desford and Peterborough all won regional awards.

By joining Caterpillar as an apprentice, you'll discover that working for a global leader creates endless career opportunities for you.
