Caterpillar Ranks as Fortune 50 Company

Fortune Magazine released its 2012 ranking of America's largest corporations and named Caterpillar as the leading construction and farm machinery company.

Following a year of record sales and profits in 2011, Caterpillar ranked #46 on the list - a 12 place improvement over last year. Caterpillar was also recognized among the top 50 most profitable companies included on the list.
