Since the 1950’s, Caterpillar has made only one annual solicitation for funds to our employees, and that is for the United Way. This annual campaign became known as the Caterpillar Employee United Way Appeal (CEUWA). Since the campaign began, 100 percent of all employee contributions raised through CEUWA have been distributed back to United Way of your choice, along with a match from the Caterpillar Foundation. The individual United Ways then fund various programs within agencies in their communities where our employees live and work. The United Way is a great way to invest your money in charities where you live. They assess the community needs; find efficient programs that deliver measurable outcomes and work to eliminate those needs in the future by identifying the causes and creating long-term solutions. Caterpillar is proud to support our communities through the United Way.
