Doug Oberhelman Highlights History of Manufacturing in National Association of Manufacturers “Manufacturing Makes America Strong” Video

In January 2013, Caterpillar Chairman and CEO Doug Oberhelman was elected for a two-year term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) - the nation's largest industrial trade association and foremost US manufacturers association representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states. 

Oberhelman's opened his first board meeting of 2013 with a video showcasing the history of the National Association of Manufacturers and the significant role manufacturing has played in keeping America's economy strong. The full video, "Manufacturing Makes America Strong," highlights the continued need for pro-manufacturing policies that will strengthen our global leadership and create an economic environment for manufacturing expansion in the United States.
