Caterpillar, Tropical Forest Foundation Work to Save World's Tropical Forests
Sustainability is a hallmark of how Caterpillar does business around the world. While products and services help make progress possible today, it's important to develop natural resources in ways that preserve them for generations to come.
One organization that Caterpillar is working with to do just that is the Tropical Forest Foundation, a non-profit, educational institution dedicated to conserving tropical forests through sustainable forestry. The organization was formed in 1990 and brought together leaders of industry, science and conservation to address growing concerns about the plight of tropical forests, and it is widely recognized for demonstrating and teaching the advantages of sustainable forest management.
The Caterpillar Foundation has invested with the non-profit since its inception, and many loggers working with the Tropical Forest Foundation use Cat machinery, allowing the organization to help ensure tropical forests thrive.
