A once-empty block on the Peoria, Ill. riverfront is now filled with modern structures and interactive exhibits. October 20 marked a day in history for Caterpillar Inc. as the Grand Opening of the Caterpillar Visitors Center.
Approximately 1,700 visitors walked through the walls of the new building Saturday, which offers a fascinating look at the company, the iron and the people making sustainable progress possible around the world.
