Visitors Get An Inside Look At Caterpillar’s Global Operations

Some customers visit Caterpillar because it's their dream. Others want to see a machine they've already ordered being manufactured. Some just want to take a look around at the latest product line and manufacturing technology. Whatever the reason, customers have commented that they are thrilled to see the size of Caterpillar machines up close, interact with employees who are building these yellow machines and gain a better understanding of the history and continued quality that goes into Caterpillar products.
In addition to dealers and customers, suppliers, investors, government dignitaries, employees, potential employees and universities participate in tours to receive a one-of-a-kind look at Caterpillar's best-in-class manufacturing processes and dedicated people. From the assembly line to a finished product, customers receive a behind-the-scenes look at the world's leading manufacturer of heavy equipment. One dealer commented, "Without a doubt, factory tours help sell machines. I have never made a factory trip that didn't result in selling a machine."
Beginning October 20, the Caterpillar Visitors Center doors will open to the public and be an additional tour site. Visitors can expect interactive displays within the 50,000 sq. ft. facility providing an inside look into Caterpillar's heritage, global operations and much more.
Whatever the reason for visiting, facility tours provide a unique opportunity to reassure existing customers and show potential customers that Caterpillar and its dealers offer the finest products and services in the world.
